Who We Are
MedicalAlertReview.com is an independent review and information site. We research, compare, and explain medical alert systems to help seniors and their families make informed decisions. We are not a medical provider, monitoring service, or product seller.
What We Collect
We do not operate accounts, login systems, or contact forms that collect personal information. The only data we receive is:
- Anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics 4: pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, and approximate geographic region (city/country level). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
- Affiliate link clicks: when you click a link to an external retailer or service provider, we log that a click occurred (without recording who clicked). The destination site may collect additional information under their own privacy policy.
Cookies
Google Analytics 4 sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and measure how content is used across sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifying information.
If your browser indicates you are located in the EU, UK, or EEA, a consent banner will appear when you first visit. Analytics cookies remain off until you explicitly accept them. If you decline, or never see the banner, the site works exactly the same — we just won't have analytics data for your visit.
You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings. Instructions vary by browser; search for "manage cookies" plus your browser name for step-by-step guidance.
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics — collects anonymous usage data as described above. Google's Privacy Policy
- Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs — when you follow an affiliate link, the destination merchant may set their own cookies to attribute any purchase to this site. We receive a small commission if you buy; this does not affect what you pay. Amazon's Privacy Policy
Your Rights
Under GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California), you have the right to ask what data exists about you and to request its deletion. Because we collect only anonymous analytics data — no names, email addresses, or accounts — we hold no information that is directly tied to you as an individual. Nonetheless, if you have a question or request, email us and we will respond promptly.
For Google Analytics data specifically, you can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
